Adelyn is 21 months old

Adelyn is our little spitfire. She went into the entry closet and found her coat and had to wear it ALL day. It was a fight to make her take it off when we went outside but the heat index was 106... a little too warm for a winter coat.

Adelyn has been putting 4 to 6 words together. She can count 8..9...10 but will not say any other number. She can repeat the alphabet and gets so excited at the end. she tells stories and remembers them days later. She loves to sing and dance and pick on her sister. She knows everybodys buttons to push.. and she likes to push them.

Adelyn is always happy in the morning and gets so excited when claire gets up hours later. She is starting to refuse naps and sits in her crib kicking and screaming 'mommy daddy uuuuuuuppppp"

She loves to read books and speaks in her own language when reading them to you. She plays with baby dolls and loves to feed them and rock them to sleep.

Hopefully we will be potty training soon.. she tells me she has to go but refuses to sit on the potty chair.

Boating

we took the girls out on lake george a couple times is the last month and they loved it. Claire went on the tube behind the boat for the first time and liked it if we went slow. Addie loved just sitting in the tube.

Visits from 'the nocturnal' and 'nemos friend'

My brothers Adam 'the nocturnal' -lives in China and Andy 'nemos friend'-lives in Hawaii, came home in June for a visit while my mom has been in and out of the hospital. It was so nice to have them home. The girls just adored them and followed them around like little puppies. Im sure they both thought when they came back it would be nice and relaxing.. little did they know the girls would jump on them in the morning to wake them up!!

This picture was taken just minutes before it was claires turn to hit the ball and addie happened to be stading about 3 inches from the ball on the tee and claire took a full swing. The bat hit the ball and the ball and bat hit addies head which ended in an egg shape on addies forehead. The bruise is finally going away now and that was a over a month ago.

The first night Uncle Andy was home. Claire was SOO excited to have him home.

4th of July 2011

After the rides we brought adelyn home to go to bed.. she wasnt feeling well and we didnt want to keep her up to 11. claire LOVED the fireworks and at the finally she stood up and put her hands in the air and yelled "YEAH" She was so excited.. but she was waiting to see a black firework because that is her favorite color.

Addie went on rides for the first time this year. I dont think i was quite ready for this but she had an absolute blast and wanted more!

This spaceship ride scared me to death. this went way up high i thought for sure she would jump out when it was way up there. Everytime she went by me i would tell her to stay seated...I was definitely the crazy mom there.

4th of July parade. It started out really hot and muggy and a storm rolled in and chairs started flying and the wind was blowing the dirt so hard we all had to go inside.

Grandmas Marathon
