Adelyn went potty in the potty chair for the first time on Friday May 20th. She was in the bath and was 'holding' herself and we asked if she had to go potty and she said 'yeah' so we took her out and put her on and she went pee!!!! We were so excited and she was so proud of herself.

Our first bonfire- adelyns first ever- that she remembers. Adelyn was signing 'hot' the whole night and the next morning when she woke up she wanted to go back out to the 'hot' (fire).

Claire had a behavior chart and was working towards a new BIG bike and she finally got it. She was working on being a GOOD listener and being nice to her sister and as soon as she got 15 stickers we went to get her bike. She got a 16 " bike and i cant believe it is the perfect size.

Claire and Adelyns cousin Cody turned 3 and had a fun birthday party. There were so many kids to play with and they had SOO much fun

Addie is so independent now-as if she wasnt before :) now she likes to sit on a big chair... not her highchair.. and eat with a big spoon and off a big plate. Here she is eating scrambled eggs and cheese- daddys specialty for the girls

Adelyns new position. She will just sit/stand like this for fun. She thinks its so funny and will laugh and laugh after she is done and then do it again.

Easter

Addie loves all animals and babies and loves to hug them and kiss them. She usually tries to take Claires animals though.

Adelyns easter basket was also in the playroom in the baby basinet.After dying all the easter eggs. They both love hard boiled eggs just like their daddy.

Childrens Museum

Claire and Adelyn were invited to Audreys Birthday Party at the childrens museum. They had so much fun.

17 months and 3 1/2

Claire wrote her name by HERSELF for the first time.. SO SO proud of her.

Addie loves baby dolls. She will make a crying noise and go pick them up and rock them or put them down and cover the baby with a blanket. She is such a mommy and loves her baby dolls. Here she is feeding the baby with a spoon.

Claire turned 3 1/2 on march 28th. She has grown up so much in the last 1/2 year. She has so many ideas and always needs to tell you something. She likes to dial peoples numbers on the phone and talk to them and she likes to answer the phone when it rings. Her new favorite pastime is singing. She sings any princess song and any song that i have on cd. She also will make up songs and sing . ex She didnt want to play by herself one day so she started singing 'i will just play all by myself because no on will play with meeeee' It is so funny and it cracks me up everytime. She also has become a pro at the computer, laptop or regular desktop. We type in pbskids.org and she can navigate through the entire thing to play different games. Its pretty funny when claire will be telling grandma what to do :)

She is growing up so much and eats all her food like 'mommy and daddy' do. ex pizza she just picks up by the slice and hamburgers. She also likes to use big spoons and plates instead of her size.

Adelyn is now 17 months... no longer our baby but an attitude filled, stuborn, independent toddler. She definitely keeps us on our toes. She is very 'spirited' and has a mind of her pwn. She feeds herself and we are working on drinking from a cup by herself. We have had to start time outs when she hits, or pinches and she usually just laughs. we usually have a few tantrums a day.. where she is laying on the floor screaming and kicking and usually it is because i said 'no thank you addie' She knows how to turn the dvd off and on and the tv which makes claire not too happy. she is a very picky eater and will not eat fruit or veggies. She still likes her meat - chicken nuggets, hamburgers, hotdogs, ham, chicken, steak and will eat ravioli but not much else. She always wants milk and gets mad when we say no.

She loves to run outside and play with balls and on her ride on toy. She can go forward and backwards. She also loves going for walks in the stroller and sitting in her swing. This summer is going to be so much fun with both girls... can come soon enough.

Adelyn is 16 months old

Adelyn has so much personality and energy.
At 15 months she was
32 inches tall (90%)
21 pounds (20%)
She sleeps 8:30 to 7:30 without waking up.
She eats when she wants to. her favorite foods are cookies and chips and pickles. She also likes spaghettios and ravioli. She doesnt love meat as much as she used to. She will eat it sometimes but not all the time. She likes to dip everything in ketchup or ranch. SHE LOVES MILK. If i let her that is all she would drink/eat all day everyday. She uses a spoon or fork independently and gets all the food to her mouth -most of the time) She also throws the food she doesnt like on the floor.
She has SO many words now i dont know if i can even name all of them. She also signs a lot of things. Some signs she uses are: more, please, thank you, hat, dog, fish, bird, water, milk, eat, boat, says love you by blowing kiss and book.
Here are some of her words that uses regularly: mama, dada, rara (grandma), papa, nana, bo cat, meow (for cat), baaaa (for lamb), pupa (puppy), duck, quack, dance, bath, wawa (water or milk), DAAAA (claire-it changes), down stairs, bye, na ni (good night), Jazma (jasmine) buzz, princess, poca (pocahontas) birdie, dora, door, apple, chup (ketchup), chip, cookie, cracker, cheese, and i am sure there are more that i can think of right now.
She loves music and loves to dance and spin and walk backwords. SHe loves to make towers and can make one that is 6 blocks high- if she doesnt knock it down first. She gets into everything-all cupboards and takes everything out. She loves wheel of fortune and claps everything they clap on the show and will sit and watch the whole show. She also likes superwhy and gets really excited when it comes on. Adelyn likes princesses and will sit and watch movies with claire. She will give them kisses and hugs and hold two of them and have them kiss eachother too. SHe plays with her dolls and will lay it down and put a blanket on it and say 'shhhh'
Adelyn is very sensative. If you tell her no- she will stick out her lower lip and start a slow cry that gets really loud with big aligator tears. She also still has a temper. If she gets mad she will hit, pinch, pull hair, and bite. Hitting is the most common and she will hit you in the face with a fist and when she gets in trouble she cries and cries and will give you a kiss
