I made a monster cake for her birthday since she is our little monster. She did not like the cupcakes and only ate a couple bites. We should have made a hamburger and covered it in ketchup-then she would have loved it!!!
Adelyn was a trooper at the doctor and doesnt get scared at all (opposite of claire) She sits on the table and will open her mouth and turn her head for the doctor, it is so cute.
She weighed 19 pounds 13 oz and was 29 inches tall, with a big head.
She is now sleeping better at night, we took away all bottles during the day so she gets 1 before bed and 1 at 5 or 6 am and gets up for the day at 8. She eats three meals and 3 snacks a day and eats so much better without those bottles. We are still mixing formula and whole milk but will switch to only whole milk soon. She will only drink chocolate milk and spits out white milk.
She can now say: papa, mama, dada, babye, claire (cla), duck, quack, cookcook(cookie),chips, cheese and ya. she will also move her whole body up and down for yes. If you tell Addie NO! She will put her hands up to her eyes put her head down on the floor and start to cry-a slow cry and first and then it gets louder. After a few minutes she will stop and look up at you to see if you are watching, if you are she will start it again. if you are not watching she will just get up and start playing again.
She is all over the place and her and Claire will fight and scream over toys all day long but they also are interacting more. they will run down the hall together laughing and sit in the back of the car and laugh at eachother or have screaming contests! (so much fun :) )
She had 3 teeth on her 1st birthday and a few days later she got an eye tooth on the right side. SHe has her 2 bottom teeth her right top and right eye tooth. goofy!
Last November on Friday the 13th in the middle of a winter storm

All she REALLY did was eat, sleep and POO!!
We packed up and moved when Adelyn was six weeks old
She took her first flight to the Minnesota cold
At 2 1/2 months she rolled from her tummy to her back
She could hold her own bottle and seh was starting to laugh
She was sitting up by herself by 6 months old and would rock on her hands and knees
At 7 months she was crawling around and getting into anything she pleased
She got her 1st tooth on August 9th and would only eat table food
If you tired to give her baby food she sputtered it back at you
By 9 months old she walked behind her bike, would wave good bye and hello
She took her first step on August 22nd and at 11 months was walking on her own
She signs wash hands, please, eat, food and all done
And she can point to her head, ears, feet and tongue
Adelyn loves her sister, hates her naps and is our little carnivore
She has a temper, is very loud and loves to be outdoors
Happy Birthday to our 1 year old. She is SO very sweet
Lets hope the next years bring less noise and a lot more sleep!!!
